Stuck in Nova Prospect (Not the energy field section)

I'm at the end of the first section of nova prospect (I suppose) I killed all the combine along the coast. Made it towards the end, I look up, and there are more atop this huge tower that has a sewer entrance, but it's caged. So I ran the opposite direction jumped a clif with a wood stuck in it. I reached a small inclave with zombies, killed those bastards, and went forward from there to the 2nd level of the tower. Killed the combine, went up the ladder, and now I'm stuck. I can't go up any further.

Any help would be apperciated.

Are you stuck at the point of the zombies and the torn up boat?

Get back in the dune buggy & go back up the road. At the end of the raod you will meet up with allies that you must help.
Its somewhat hard to see the road considering it is atop of the hill.

I killed bastards and continued further and the combine started shooting at me form the huge tower. Killed them as well.

Goto the right I believe there will be some zombies and then grab the wood pieces that are supporting the roof to make it a ramp

I think you have to go to your right. Somewhere there is a ledge, you have to climb up the mountain, if I am not mistaken.

Yes, very much so. I loved the that part just for it paying homage to HL1.

I was stuck here for aseveral minutes too ... you need to go to the right of the platform, jump down to where the supply boxes are, then follow that narrow ledge around. It's a bit of a jumping/balance thing but leads you up the hill.
