stuck in route canal - room with loads of explosive barrells

hi folks,

i'm stuck in a room where about 10 of those flying chainsaw things attack you at that start. you fall into the room and are surrounded by explosive barrels. theres a ladder which goes up and down.

lower area is full of water and has a big red tube which looks like it leads to the next room.

if you go up the ladder instead you walk across some pipes and come into a room with another ladder and metal gates - when you look through the gates you can see where the big red rube comes out into that room.

definetely looks like i gotta get through the red tube, but no idea how to get to it.. anyone? thanks

Go up the ladder and accross the pipes into the next room, jump down the pipe structure and you will see a valve to turn. I think you can figure out the rest...

I think all the valves in Half Life 2 mean something

But yes, turn that Valve, go through the pipe after the water rises. Hopefully you can take it from there, if not, post back
