Stuck in sandtraps please help

Okay i am at the part that i am in light house and i have blown the gunship after that one or two combine soldiers were coming up the stairs with help of medic i got rid of them, the medic told me to follow him and went down opened a pessage for me where you have to go out and jump down the cliff ... so far so good

i accidently fell off and the game auto load to the point where i am back in the light house and i see rumble of the gunship falling down but the problem now is that the medic just refuse to take me down .. i have even gone down to the village and roamed around making sure there are no combine soldiers around tried using the medic and god knows what but he simply just stands there like a dumb blonde saying nothing ARGGHHHHHHHH !!!!!

what do i have to do to initiate the next sequence?

I'm only guessing at this point.

I never really had a problem with an NPC missing his cue, but if I were you that's what I'd try.

Just take a save point earlier how long time can that take??
