stuck in the airboat

ok so i drove the airboat (for like three hours) and now i get to this gate where they say "hey its that guy yay!" and then they say "you got here just in time we were about to leave." Theres like an alien and a black guy and some chick. And then they just stand there and look at me and nothing happens and i cant open the get to get out. whas up with that?

Get out of the boat and keep talking to the black guy. Then the girl will open the gate for you.

you talk with 'e' right? Im talkin but hes not saying anything, neither is anybody else.

You shouldn't need to press anything. Just listen to everything he says.

If that doesn't work, it's likely a bug of some sorts.

I had a problem of similar subject...but on another position map.
The guy was standing while he should move and I needed to follow him...anyway, problem of same nature.
In some caise solving would be sufficiant with loading previous save.
If nothing is changed again...you have to write something in console.
Write "maps".
You will see the list of all positions in the game.
Than you write "map >and here you put position you think is the closest to current one<
its something like d2_waterhazard_08.bmp or something

He should tell you to follow him into a room. You don't need to 'e' anything.

If you are where I think you are, you follow the black guy. While he's talking, the girl opens the gate, and the vortigaunt (alien) gives the boat an upgrade. You will use this upgrade copiously from here on. One thing, though: DO NOT get rid of the boat. Good Luck!!

Bugging AI is a problem with the warez versions.

just go back with the boat and return , the gate is now open to the other side...........

Had the same problem , didn't understand but it worked

the command is "ai_disable 0" to re enable the AI. enable it before you get to that point and it should be fine.

The Monkey: It is mainly the warez versions that have this problem, but some perfectly legit versions also have the problem.

but theres a valve on the dock thing right after you go up those stairs, the door is really close to the valve
but i think that valve opens the door thing
its along the railing

The valve does open the gate, but only the girl can turn the valve, it won't let you do it. It just sticks and jiggles a bit if you try. I got impatient my first time through and tried to get it open myself... then I got all indignant after I got in the boat and watched the girl turn the thing I'd been wrestling with a few seconds earlier.


Felt all emasculated... some hero... needs the litte girl to open his pickle jars for him... bah...
