Stuck near Lifter

Hello all

I have just finish travelling along the canal and finally met the Mesa companion... the nice girl is leading me near a lifter but i can't make it work...
What do i have to do here? i try pressing button in lifter, nothing happen, no way to talk with the girl...

Is this the Black Mesa East chapter? If so, Alyx should do most of the work. From what I remember, the only purpose of that chapter was to give you the Gravity Gun, and allow you to practice.

If this is not the Black Mesa East, then which one?

yes it is East part
I did not had the gravity bolter yet
I followed the girl to the Lifter
but i am stuck in it, how do i use the lifter?
i tried pushing the two red button but nothing, the girl does not react as well....

I don't remember too much of the pre-gravity gun part of BM East. Unfortunately, I am on campus, and not near my Gaming Rig. As soon as I am done with class, I will check and see what's going on.

I remember seeing alyx, see says to follow her, and you go through a hallway. Along the way, she points down a branch of the hall, and says, "That's the way to Ravenholm. We don't go there anymore." Has that happened yet? If you can give me as much detail about what you just did, I can figure out where you are easier.

He is speaking of Dr. Mossman and the elevator ( or "Lifter"). Some people have problems in this part, because Mossman doesn't press the button. Try reloading.

the Walkthrough says:

"Go to the left side, where you see all the buildings. Leave the boat, and wave
it goodbye, because you'll leave it. If you take the right path, you'll end up
in a room, and the doors will close. You reached Black Mesa, and after the
scan, Dr. Mossman will take you down to Eli's lab. After some chit-chat with
Alyx, Dr. Mossman (those 2 don't really get along) and Eli, Alyx will take you
away, because Eli wants her to show you the Gravity Gun. Follow Alyx."


BUT DR MOSSMAN REMAIN IN FRONT THE LIFTER - IS THERE A BUG?
