Stuck near the end - help pls *possible spoiler*

Okay, I'm sure I am near the end of the game; but a bug or something messes up my game right after I

stop Breen from escaping, the top part of the portal looks like it is going to explode. The g-man comes out and talks like rainman for a few seconds and then the credits roll.

If this is a known bug please tell me what i can do to fix it, I would love to finish the game and see the ending. thx.

Yes, that is the ending.

I didn't mind the ending so much, it's the fact that there was hardly any back story within the game itself. Everyone is like "oh oh portal storm" "oh oh seven hours war". Yes, we have names of events, but we still don't know crap-all about them - that is my biggest gripe with the game.

The fact that they said there were gonna be three games in the series long ago I'd expect them to not suddenly end the game now and have the third be pure useless bullshit story wise. I dunno why you'd expect something amazing as an ending in HL2 considering what they did in HL.

The only part I didn't like was a lack of elaboration of the 7 hour war. The game leaves enough hints to tell you what the g-man has been up to, and we can guess who's hired him.

I didn't mind the ending at all. Lately we've been getting a flood of, "the ending sucks!!!" threads. I think we should make a stickied thread called, "If you think the ending sucked post here!" so when we're reading through thread topics we don't have to go through 100 threads named that.
