Stuck on follow freeman, killed the snipers...

I got to Barney and killed the sniper across the way but hes still just sitting there. I have run around everywhere and no snipers shoot at me. Can someone tell me how I get past this part so he will get down.

Sounds like another script error. I think there were two snipers to kill... what should happen is Barney saying thanks, and leading the way for a bit then.

If that doesn't happen... the method that works with me when a script gets stuck (only happened once thankfully) is to open the console, type in restart and replay the level from whereever it puts you at.

Thats stupid, originally there are 3 snipers. The first time I did the level I killed 2 on the way to the top then the 3rd one at the top. The second time I did the level I just ran by the first 2 snipers and killed the top one but the other 2 were gone. Do I just have to keep playing this level and trying to get it to work, Valve sure didnt do well if thats the case.

i had to make my way up to Barney's level, and 2 or 3 more snipers began raping me.

This same thing happened to me. I had to load a previous save, at which point there was another sniper who wasnt there the first time.

I've restarted 3 times from the autosave at the beginning of the level, once using the restart command and once from a save before that level. This is starting to get irritating. Is there anything else I can do?

This may be a silly question, but you are killing the snipers right? Then make your way over to Barney and talk to him. When I did it i only remember killing 2 snipers, one to your left (when facing Barney) and one directly across from Barney.

When I enter the building there are 3 snipers. When i reach the roof with Barney there is only one, which I kill to no effect.

Ya, kill the first 2 on the first floor ... then go up and kill the one behind barney.

Happened to me.. He said to clear out snipers, no snipers shooting me, until I went up to his level. Then I found myself in xfire.

Same here,one at 9 o'clock and one at 12 when facing Barney.

Depends which ones you mean, you find you kill a total of 5 snipers, two to begin with then the three around barney

i had the same problem, until i discovered how to get ot barney's level, when you reach his level there will be 2 more snipers to take out.

yeah you need to get to the top of the building then two new snipers will appear...I missed that one aswell the first time around...

Yeah, I just had to go up a level. I tried noclipping before that but apparently you have to use the stairs.
