stuck on train part....

im stuck on the train part where you have to go across the bridge turn the switch go back and get back in the kart. i read a walkthrough and it says hit your turbo going towards the oncoming train and take a left when you get to the end of the train to the left, i do so and do it perfectly but i get a black screen saying something like, subject:gordon freeman mission terminated, unable to preserve mission need materials, or something to that extent, even if i let the traincome all the way down then try to go after its past it says the same thing, anyone know what to do?

the reason it says subject: gordon freeman mission terminated is because you flew ur car off the bridge and supposably died

on the right side of the bridge is a little path going down a clift, follow that path and the rest is straight forward, i had trouble at that part to but i didnt use no walkthoughs

Don't misdirect the boy. He said that he had already done the under-the-bridge thing. Just hit turbo when you start headin down the track and that should get you far enough ahead to where you can make it to the left before the train gets to you. If it says failed to preserve mission critical resources then it means you lost the buggy you were riding in. Just keep trying, m8.

Ok, I woosed that part after getting killed three times,, I just pulled over behind the stationary train until the oncoming one passed, then I drove my merry way, whistling the theme to Rocky 1. :thumbs:

Yeah I just backed up and waited behind the stationary train while the moving one carried on past.

So when you let the train go past, does it hit the buggy at all? Is there anything at all on the tracks that you left behind that could possible be important? If all else fails, make sure you have the developer console enabled in the controls advanced menu, bring up the console, look in the top right corner of the screen for the name of the map you are on, and then type "map [map name]" to reload the level. You should then start inside the last tunnel you came through, with the buggy next to you. This is the same as starting a new game however, so all your guns will only have 66% of their max ammo and if you backtrack you may find all those enemies are alive again.

it doesnt touch the buggy at all, and like stuff around the train sounds like its exploding, i cant see anything on the track, and i dont think i could have left anything there since ive never been on the tracks before now
