Stuck (what else?)

I am stuck in the room that has a large grate over water and an abundance of barrels. I intially killed the flying bots largely by exploding the substantial number of explosive barrels. I am able to get into the next room by setting up a barrel, climbing on it and going there. In the water there is a supply box with a health pack, no problem. I have climbed the ladder and walked along the pipe and even tried to set a barrel on the large pipe to get to the small passage that the flying bots came out of... no success anywhere.

The adjoining room has no apparent way through the bars above or under the water and the only apparent exit appears to not be reachable! HELP!

You know I spent an hour there... Its simple, the ladder you keep climbing up and trying to jump in the vent? Go DOWN the ladder, yeah into the water... you can go DOWN. Viola.

Go to the other room with all of those pipes. There should be a valve on the pipes. You use that valve to raise the water. Go to the first room and go down that ladder. There will be a large Sewer Pipe. Go through there. Then you will swim to the surface and to the ledge with the ladder. You will then have to shoot down at the bottom of the water at the wooden planks on the floor of the water. It will bring up floating objects which you need to jump on to get to the other side.

Hmmm, no valve in the other room.... This room I fell into.... It is a large room with nearly the entire floor covered by grating. there is a ladder that by climbing one can walk on a large pipe. By setting up a single barrel I can go into the next room and descend a ladder into the water. Unfortunately there is a barred grate extending from ceiling to water level and barred passages under water preventing entrance to teh next room. This is in d1-canals-03

I went down the ladder. There is nothing under the water except a drain that is clearly not draining. there is a sign in the room that says "Warning equipment starts automatically".

Yes in that room with the barred grate extending from the ceiling to the water level there is a valve. You have to look very hard. Look at all the PIPES in that room. It is there I promise you. Its red. Its pretty big. You should be able to find it if you search the whole room.

It is not under water. It should be on a Pipe right above water level.

Many thanks... there was indeed a red valve cleverly hidden on the back side of a pipe... that was a life saver... I spent two hours on that... thanks again!
