Hey all new to the HL2 scene......stuch in some basement where i think your supposed to stack barrels or something to get into some big opening "route kanal" been doin this for too long. any suggestions? stuck!! :hmph:

Some screenshots might help..I don't remember any basement setting...

If its where I'm thinking, you climb through a ladder...

The manhack room? If so climb the ladder and use it to jump onto a pipe on the roof and jump off that to the balcony.

haha thats funny..YES thats the one...turn the red valve? i thought of that briefly couldnt get up to it too easly so.....took a couple of pot shots at it and was tryin to get to another vent inlet.........back n forth arrgh.. now i gotta do the work thing eager to get back later! thanks all. will let ya know. kaBoom!

only one instance of the game can be running at one time.....? re start restart what other instance? now cant even play at all. uninstalled reinstalled..........wont boot up at all now. ARRGH. anyone else with this problem?

nvr mnd all......after attmpt start up of game.....system would shut itself down!!!! so went to bios setup and reconstituted the original performance parameters and viola......

i was stuck at the part you guys are talking about when i first got the game
but its really easy once u look around i mean isnt that what the game is about figuring it out on your own

Well, it is quite understandable that people get frustrated at some point. Figuring things out on your own is fun, I liked that aspect in HL2, but in HL1, I was getting really frustrated in a few places where I was stuck for like half an hour.
