Survivors' lines

Out of any game that I've ever played, I've got to say that Valve have seriously outdone themselves here. Even more credit to the voice-acters themselves. I never get tired of hearing the Survivors' lines; they truly bring the characters to life and give them a strong feel every time I'm plodding along with me trusty M16, surrounded by zombies. When a horde surrounds us on Expert difficulty, amidst all of the blood, gunfire and destruction you'll hear Bill's - my - piercing, belly-laugh above the commotion. I do it because it's just too damn funny to resist. Or when I shout the good ol' "Pills here!" Francis will barge past me, snatch them, and say "Ahh a little pick-me-up." Suits his character perfectly. Finally, to every piece of dialogue in the game, I'll Quote Bill and say "This shit never gets old."

I didn't see any other thread like this out there, so I just wanted some of you hombres to share what's your particular favourite line (I know, it's hard because there's so bloody many good ones).

Mine: After suffering from a brutal horde attack (Expert), me (Bill ofc) and Louis are the only remaining Survivors. Louis is down, wailing "Heelllp Meeee!" almost hysterically. I run over to him, and as I'm picking him up, Bill goes "It's OK to piss yourself son, I used to do it all the time." You can't imagine how much I was laughing, I was nearly in tears. But the icing on the cake was Louis's face man. After he was up, he looked like his eyes were popping out of his head! Hahaha and it didn't help me stop laughing because my face was so close to his!

There's plenty more, but this stands out most because it was one of those times when you get overcome by uncontrollable laughter. I rarely laugh at games aswell! (most attempts at humour are just plain shit xD)

bill's rambling about "the great zombie" invasion was pretty funny, but yours is prolly the best one.

I'd like to see a transcript of all the dialogue in game from the survivors, aswell as the other scripted lines from characters, like the helicopter pilot, etc. There's just so much to hear in the game that you miss one time, but hear another because you almost never play the same map the same way. Only yesterday did I hear that the demented church coward says something - muffled and strangled, natch - before the door opens.

A particually funny thing I heard was part of Francis' ''I hate vans'' line. I heard that, realised that's where the t-shirt design came from on the Valve store, then after we were leaving the suburbs he claimed ''I hate small villages.'' Pretty funny, but then as we approached the waterfront he said ''I hate water!'', and what made it actually funny was just how angry and whiney he sounded. Sounded... brilliant.

And Zoey's repeated remarks of liking the town of Riverside. And also Louis saying "And there's the hospital" about 3 times during the Sewer level. It gets rather annoying.

I've heard Bill (or it might of been Louis) say ''Francis, this look like home to you?'', or something similar.

I also just remembered Bill remaking on the smell of the sewers to Louis, but I can't remember what he exactly says.

I like, but never heard Louis say it, "this is just like Counter-Strike". I also like the homage to Aliens from Zoey "Game over man, game over".

I like Zoey's rant in the elevator of No Mercy when she complains how "They're not aloud to be so fast" and she calls them out on zombie bullshit, always gets a quick chuckle from me.

Hahaha f'ing brilliant guys. I've also heard the one on Blood Harvest Chapter 1 where you approach the caravan/trailer after crossing the bridge, and Bill goes "Francis, this look like home to you?" I've got to hear Louis's version though Touches like that really make a game. My brother even looked at me as if to say "whoah, nice" when he witnessed it aswell.

This line wasn't comical at all though, it seemed pretty damn serious. I was Bill, down and now on my last life, and after Zoey picked me up, he says "If I go down again, promise me you won't let those ****ers EAT me." It came across sounding very urgent and serious; pretty cool stuff

Zoey's Star Wars line "Allllmost therrrre" like that X-wing pilot in A New Hope is pretty funny whenever I hear it.

That sounds less like a Star Wars reference and more like a dirty joke by Vavlve.

Also love it how the others tease Bill about stairs. Poor old Bill...

Louis' "aargh" voice option sometimes comes up with a really silly "OH NO!!!" which used in some situations is just pure 100% hilarious awesomeness. Zoey going "I don't think I'm gonna make it" + "OH NO!!!" = win.

This is gold. I haven't heard it, but I think I've heard Francis pretend to be someone else at the end of Blood Harvest to the army.

Honestly, just reading everyone's comments is making me chuckle. And perrkele, I also love it when Louis goes "OH NO!" in a really cheesy, brilliant way. Hahaha Francis is a true badman aswell. I haven't actually heard him call the zombies vampires yet Something to look forward to though!! :bounce:
