System Restore won't run.

Whenever I try to open System Restore, the window opens, but it is blank white and it doesn't respond. The cursor becomes an hourglass and such. I've tried this in safe mode and it still does not work. Any guesses as to what may be causing this?

Virus/Spyware maybe? Are your anti-virus/spyware programs functioning correctly? Have you tried opening SR via the CMD console in safe mode? To do this go to start > run > cmd and then enter C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and see if that works.

Funny you should mention that. Ad-Aware froze last time I tried to run a scan. There is possibly a correlation. I'll run it again and see if it freezes again, and if it does, on what file.
