So last night I got the urge to install Starsiege: Tribes. Boy it's been years since I played this game and playing last night made me wonder why I quit.

No game has been as enjoyable to me as this one has. I can actually play this game on dial-up without having to worry about much lag, since it's old. This game was my only friend during middle and high school since I was an anti-social fag-hat with no friends.

I was going to install Tribes 2 as well but I nixed that idea when I found out I had to download a 90mb update.

Anyone here play this game?

I used to. I am the only person in the known universe that liked Tribes 2 better.

I occasionally install Tribes 2 when I need a speed/flying fix, shame they did so bad with vengence.

Tribes 2 was way better. The only people who liked Tribes 1 were flag capping whores. If you played defense in Tribes 1 it meant you liked to take it in the ass, and lose, a lot.

I liked Tribes 2 as well, but it played kind of slow. I would play it now but I don't feel like spending 6 hours downloading an update.

You all have prompted me to install T2.

if I can find the disc :(

why everyone hates Vengence ?

So much potential, so huge a let down...
They TOTALLY newbified everything in the MP part.

SP is very fun though... engrossing storyline and memorable moments.

Must... pirate... venegence....

/Surely it's possible to simply mod multiplayer to make it harder?

yes you could probably mod it, but then whats the point? I've heard from a few people it's basically a sinking ship.

Actually it had a hole in it before it ever launched on its maiden voyage and sunk instantly when it hit the water.

... to continue your ship metaphor.
