Taking screenshots, without the junk in the way?

How do I take a screenshot and remove the HUD so I get a nice wallpaper for myself?

Enable the cheats by typing sv_cheats 1 into the console. Then:

impulse 200
cl_drawhud 0

how would one do that with halo: combat evolved? cuz i got some great shots but stupid reticule in the way

it doesnt have one in game, but i believe you can type code in the target box, or something else through a cfg file, or a similar file much like the autoexec files.
