When the Barrels Fell it looked Nice but one big thing was missing - the ripples - i couldn't see any ripples in the water. I'm sure they'll remember to add that when the game is finished.

Yea, I noticed that too, but I'm pretty sure, atleast I hope they'll add it to the finished product.

Scratch what I just said...

I just watched it again and there are splash/ripple effects in the water. You'll see it when he uses the gravity gun on the model to push the table into the water.

well...seemed pretty real to me...not "visible" rings, but a disturbance...

whats really amazing is that those ripples are bump mapped textures...

Also in an early screenie from a mag scan you see him in the water looking at a fishing boat, has some pretty nice wave effects there.
