Test Vehicles? GCFScape - HL2 *Possible Spoilers*(Though Unlikly)

Now I can obviously view these, and well... what the?
Each of the txt files hold all the hoursepower, speed etc..
Jetski wtf?
In the Apc_npc file the thing that struck me..

For the jeep_test.txt

These 2 files are EXACTLY THE SAME.
What the?

Jetski & Airboat are diffrent so don't think there the same thing..

For the fastdigger.txt

A few files are the same which confuse me.. Why are these files still here? There is no jetski... Vehicle in Raveholm? Driveable apc?


In the source models.gcf
Why is playler even in there? I guess if we went third person it is what you would see gordon as....(As thats what you see in multiplayer)


That small crawling creature you see in the citadel is called the synth.
To see what a combine solider is without the first top half of his body check soldier_stripped


The creature that you see that breen is talking to near the end I believe is called the Advisor...


I'm just bored and felt like posting something. But why are there 2 apc files? I believe we were oringally suppose to drive one and the files are there somewhere..

The Jetski didn't work that well so they changed it to the airboat.

Whoever says that it was just the source-code compiled dosent really know what their talking about.

There were 2 seperate thefts: source-code theft, and the alpha theft.

You can't have much of a game with just source-code and no models, textures, and maps.

Jetski and the airboat are the same thing and the digger was a scripted sequence, not really a vehicle.

It wasn't even alpha. It was pre-alpha. The alpha is the first version of the game where you can play the game from beginning to end.

No, it was all one long theft. Just two releases over the internet. First just the source code with a test map(a hollow cube with a brick texture). Then the content got leaked.
