TFT Monitors

Now, I've heard that LCD monitors are bad for gaming because they leave ghost trails or whatever but what about TFT monitors? I haven't heard much about them. I'm planning on getting a new monitor soon and I saw a TFT monitor for a pretty good deal but I wanted to know how they were for gaming. Do they have problems like the LCDs? If they do, I guess I'll go with a CRT.

my Sony 17-inch widescreen LCD is great for gaming! It is far brighter than my old CRT and shows everything great! Just get one with 22ms or better. They say 13ms is minimum for gamers, but I have found 22ms to be fine for hours at times in LAN parties. Get an LCD and you won't regret it if you get the right one.

Edit: I heard the Dell 21-inch got 10 or 9 score in MaxPC for gaming.

So which is better? Higher MS or lower MS?

lower. it is the time in miliseconds that it takes for every cell to change from black to white. However, this does NOT always mean it will change from blue to yellow the same speed or what have you. Let me check out the moniter and give suggestions. What are you wanting to spend? I think the Dell is $900 and so was mine.

I think that's it, but they do have a 17 inch one for $500+. I will check my mag.
