I am cutting myself from General Forums, PHL and all other HL2 websites.
For one I never waited for System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Thief, etc., I didn’t know anything about them, but after getting these games, I was blown away.

Now, I can name so many games that I was disappointed with, because I seen and knew too much. I am afraid that same thing will happen with Half-life 2 when it comes out. I hope I have some self-control.

Anyway, any of you plan to do the same thing or you are 100% sure HL2 won’t disappoint?

i understand, i have a friend that isnt into computer gaming and i told him they arent releasing much info on hl2 and he thought that sucked. I was like the less info the better! i dont want to know anything about it!

that's why i tend to stick to modelling and Off-topic, so i only learn the stuff i need to know about modelling and skins....and that has nowt to do with the game play

Its the same for me, i rarely post in the general forums, due to the fact i want to know as little as possible, but i want to know at the same time. I cant help but watch all the videos 15 times a day.

I find reading info on the game doesn't spoil it, it's playing the beta or a demo beforehand. Luckily, neither will happen, so yeah, I should be safe hopefully.
