but the protosses psionics as their base for technology, the closest thing that I have seen the combine with is what the advisors use, and that is just looks like the dark archon's maelstrom ability, which would be futile against those who are so in tune with psionics that they could take control of the advisors with ease, and the Nihilanth to the best of my knowledge is the only thing comes anywhere close to having the psionic powers that the protoss has, they have even come close to defeating. Now Imagine a race where every member is at that level, or stronger. In theory the combine wouldn't stand a chance, but then again the zerg forced them from their home world, but that was because of sheer numbers, not by any real technological advantages, (no offense to the zerg users out there, but by every thing that I have read about the zerg, they just can take hits, and replace their fallen quickly.) evolutional maybe, but not technological.
This is all "to the best of my knowledge" so if there any mistakes feel free to correct me, but please don't be an ass about it plus the Combine would obviously win.

That may be true, but Gordon Freeman single handedly defeated the Nihilanth so (keeping in mind that the Combine defeated the human race in a matter of hours) just think what the ENTIRE COMBINE EMPIRE could do

Am I the only one who sees similarities between Skynet and GlaDos? If you think about it, the story of Half-Life and the motives of the Gman become much clearer.

"sucky fighters"?

What, pray, defines a "sucky fighter"? Personally I would have assumed the only "sucky fighter" in the Half-Life universe to have been Barnacles.

If you're referring to the skill level of each of those members of the Combine's army, I think your statistics are a bit off. 85% implies a majority. Unfortunately I think the only item in that list that a regular human being could over come is a Scanner. Most of that list there is far superior to the technology that we saw in Terminator III when Skynet was activated.

And what's wrong with providing us with a list of the Combine forces?

Thanks, Druckles. Your points are good and true. I've only seen Terminator 3, so I'm not sure about all of their forces. I only posted that list for a comparison, but it hasn't really helped.

It's understandable as the third film has a lower rating than the others. But if you can, I'd seriously recommend watching the first. It's awesome.

the second is the best. the t-1000 rocks. also, that chopper scene with the shotgun holder is awesome

Striders for teh winnzor! None the less the Combine would win no question really

pistolero!: the source would be near the end of half-life 2 where you can here Dr.Breen talking to Eli-vance about seeing sentiant fungi and the like.

thats it rashak declares this thread done, do I have any support?

You are ignoring my point. Minigun.

Drucks, you must have no soul. The terminator's cheesiness was the point.

STONE THE SOULLESS ONE.

The cheesiness of the original Terminator was and still is awesome. One might say that's where cheese itself derives itself from. Because, well, it is. But Terminator 2 just did it badly.

I was referring to Uncle Bob, actually. His mannerism were deliberately over-the-top and cheesy to show his gradual humanization. Besides, T2 had the nuke scene and one of the saddest endings I've ever seen.

One of the reasons Gordon could defeat the Combine is because they put Health Chargers for their troops around that he could use, and it would probably take ages for Skynet to get its devices to run on the energy from Suit Chargers.

Apart from that, I think the HEV suit helps aswell...

Which explains why he isnt quite as dead as some rebels...
