The ending of the game

Loved the game, but the ending was just terrible. I was hoping Gordon was going to get some if he and Alex survived, but No the G-man had to interrupt, and take gordon away to who knows what...

Anyways...The ending was didappointing to me until after the credits with Lammar.

Though yep, I got to admit, the Lamaar bit did make the hurt ebb slightly. (Well, not for me. I loved the ending).

Interrupt? If it weren't for G-Man, Gordon and Alyxx get NUKED!

It appears that G-Man stopped time to put Gordon back in "stasis".

I doubt he even saved Alyyx...

valve has said that alyx is a playable char in the next game, so if the g-man didn't save her, the g-woman did.

Unless of course you are playing as her earlier in life, during the 10 years gordon was absent.

As I recall, Valve said they might make Alyx a playable character in an expansion, not a new game. Taking place before Half Life 2 as well, I think. So we're still left wondering about the fate of Ms. Vance.

Who knows? One thing is certain. Though I love the ending it left me so pissed off at the G-Man. I was fighting for something. I was fighting for something I believed in. How dare he take that away from me? How dare he steal my chance of seeing how the world would end up after my actions? How dare he deny me the chance to fight for good in the world, to do things right, to make everything better? If I had been there during the seven-hour war...well, I couldn have tried to stop the conquest of earth. I appreciate that I would probably be dead if it wasn't for the G-Man...but I have no idea what is going on. I just know when I next come out of stasis I'll be in a new world, one that I initially won't understand. How dare he do this to me?
