The G-Man Screenshot at Official HL2 Page?

Dont flame me immedietley...if anyone hasnt seen it, at Valve's official website for HL2, there is a screenshots section, and when you move over one of those screenshots, the G-Mans face suddenly flashes. When clicking on that screen, it ask you to log in...I'm a little late in all the news, not even having the game (YET!), but has anyone figured what out what this is yet? I was thinking it would turn to something else, like a secret little page once the game was released, and..no, nadda. Sorry, Im just late in all the news, and Im still really curious to what this means...Danke.

Wha...yeah, I know the news is definently old, I just havent been keeping up with the times, being away from HL2 forums altogether for a couple months, and Im just wondering vhat zis is.
