The place where you drive that buggy around the coast line. You meet up with some resistance people and a british ex commando of some sorts that hand you a rocketlauncher. Remember that?
Well... how do they know you? You have never met that british guy before yet he knows some about you. How? The Gman.

You come up to this house where some soldiers have their base. In that house there are these binoculars they use to spy on the resistance. If you have a look with those you will spot the Gman talking and allerting your arrival to that presumably former SAS soldier. I guess he does that before you come to an area :)

Not necessarily because of the G-man though. A lot of people throughout the game recognize you as Gordon Freeman and I doubt they've met you before either.

Map name please, a little noclip'ing might shed some light as to what he is doing.

They just stand there, they don't interact, I've noclipped over there

ffs every npc in the game knows who u are and has gordon freeman posters in their batroom.
they mob u cos ure such a star and thus u get stuck in hallways.

okay, but are they in a position that would make it seem like they would be interacting with eachother?

I don't tend to see the gman with company.

I believe they shake hands.

The view your supposed to see is from the binoculars. The binoculars pan left to right. So you only see them for a good 3-4 seconds.

Clearly they are 'communicating'.

Then I wonder what the insurgents offered for your services that Breen couldn't...

yeah and they know who you are because of the bright orange suit

As well as the Lambda symbol which is on the chest plate of Gordon's HEV suit, which they have painted on thier overalls.

Erm, I doubt it. You don't know that.

So Col.Babbage is explaining to the troops the purpose of a brand new rocket launcher right as Gordon arrives and he DIDNT get it from the Gman who JUST left? shut up.

The Gman is helping the resistance throughout the game, as they are needed to achieve his mission goals. There are many scenes where humans and vorts are briefly seen being updated by the Gman ;)

Knowledge. The combine doesn't have anything anywhere near as advanced as the slingshot teleporter or the zero point energy manipulator. The combine doesn't have Eli Vance either, who seems to be equally valuable to the combine as Gordon is (listen to Breen harping on about using you two to bargain). Gordon is quite obviously valuable as a superweapon, and Eli is far more than just the leader of a resistance effort, he is an incredible scientist who seems to be a lot smarter than anybody that combine have working for them. I am thinking Kleiner too would be of great value to the Combine.

Easy now, everyone can state an opinion. You shut up - to use your terminology - because he is right. Fact is: we don't know.

Anyway, we never see GMan with guns of any sort, right?

So many fighters have rocket launchers and how does the ammo get there?

It's Odessa. Col. Odessa.
