Ok, now I get how it works. They just released the docks video officially, and now it's downloading something else. So it caches the next video while you watch the current one.

BTW, good job h4><oring that file Chris. :)

hehe so when docks is out does that mean we will have a new one in there too?

Docks is out, and I'm downloading something new (as are some other #hl2media folks) ... Steam got a lot more fun once the hackers got involved :)

lmao i wonder what the valve guys think of this? That docks video is kinda cheap, its even shorter than gman, were they planning on releasing 2 minute videos every other day? Hopefully we wil start gettin' the good stuff now :)

The docks video still has the old hit damage sprites. I was kind of hoping it'd be an updated build, since Valve said they were just placeholders. I'm still crossing my fingers for ragdoll effects when getting hit by bullets (or crowbars), not just after they die. I reckon it's harder than I realize to make a character compensate for getting knocked off balance and right himself or pick himself up off the ground realistically, so maybe the human race just isn't ready for it yet.

It's funny 'cause, after I watched the docks, I wanted the compare framerates with the G-Man video, and now it's updating something(The G-Man video).

now we have figured out steam, the biggest question is who will crack the file being dled so we can accually watch what is currently being dled once its on our computers. just think about this... once ur done dling the file, you have the next vid on ur HD. if someone figures out how to crack the file and play the new vid, we could be seeing the next vid in a matter of hours!!! CRACKERS ---- TIME TO DO SOME CRACKIN!!!
