The new unlocks...

Part of the reason I started a new account was because I was so far away from an unlock with my other account (Q_onfused... was like a Mastery Gunner, or something of that sort) and I wanted the new F2000. Well, here it comes, my second unlock for my new account (Qonfused|HL2.net) but I can't select the F2000. It gives me everything else: the sniper, SF, Medic, etc. I knew you had to unlock the G3 first but not ALL of them...

I think you can only get those unlocks through Special Forces.

i used the f2000 like for 2 seconds before, so you and i are going to get in a server and maybe i can "borrow" the gun for a while.

Mos' def. The thing about BF2: SF is, when you start up, it lets you have even more unlocks. Or maybe that was the 1.12 patch... but yeah. When I hit 20,000, I'm getting the Engineer unlock (MK3A1), and if SF gives me another unlock, the super medic gun.

The F2000 really isn't all that great. It does 34 damage, the M16 does 32 and is more accurate. The AK/s do 37/38 but are slightly less accurate. The only real reason to unlock this is for the flashbangs (which I think are a seperate unlock you can only get after unlocking this first) and for the n00b-tube...but with the default guns you already have the n00b-tube.

When i first got back into BF2 just before xmas, someone threw a flashbang and i didn't know that you could use them in vanilla BF2... i was like "shite, my GFX just died"
The flashbang effect is pretty cool, i think it lasts a bit too long though.

I think the time is fine, but in SF the gas should last longer and do damage over time.

When I unlocked the F2000, I got the flashbang too (but only when I use the F2000). Although, in BFHQ, it says I haven't unlocked it... oh well.

..How do you get the 'Free' Unlocks in SF?

I don't know, but after I installed, it presented me with a bunch more unlocks. Oh, wait, duh! It's because, using the BF2 rank system, it would be impossible to unlock all the SF guns- so they give a bunch to you free. My guess is that for every regular unlock you get in BF2 after a certain point, you also get an SF unlock.

Ah..Thanks , I've read Various Statements on this and I was just Confused about it, wheither I got the unlocks (I Know it mean't unlock points) after I installed , Ranked up or when I got all Medals
