The Nihilanth

I don't see it.
Nihilism is a sort of depressed uncaring way of looking at things.
I myself though annihilate, but I'm not sure that follows either.
In other news,
Gonarch?
Anarchy?

Nihilism is more than that, its the rejection of that which requires faith.

And well, it's not like ''arch'' is the stem of either Gonarch or Anarchy, these two words have no common stem.
Whereas Nihil is the stem of both Nihilanth and Nihilism. Nihil in Latin meaning "nothing at all".

You need to read up on your etymology, before you rubbish my theory foo'

My jibba jabba has been swept aside like so much dust.
But I digress, supposing you were right and the 'anth' part meant say, master or one who emboide, or something to that effect. It doesn't really fit the Nihlanth as we know him, the most connection I can see revolves around his obviously unblinking view of the rights of living things, and that's seems a bit of a stretch.
Did you have any ideas as to the connection?

The two are connected in Raising the Bar. I believe the 'anth' part is short for 'anther' because of the way his head opens up like a flower.

Or something like that. Haven't read RtB in a long time.

Interesting.
Then would that make the controllers Nihilites?

Nihilanth is to do with Nihilism and also anth which means flower, case closed. It's in raising the bar.
Gonarch:
Gon-reproducing
Arch-leader.

Well there we are.
Nihilistic flower, Reproducing leader.
