The River

Is it just me, or is anyone else having a hard time getting throught the very large gate while on the air boat through the river? I cannot find a lever to pull, a button to push, or anything to get that big stinkin' door open. Can someone help!???

Theres quite a few large gates, which one do you mean?

I mean the big metal gate that opens sideways, I assume, after fighting your way through the river, the first time people are shooting at you!

I got off the boat, went up a ladder and through a door where I found two large vehicles in a room, pressed on to other rooms and found myself opening a door to a gated little balcony with a broken lever. I am able to see the back side of the gate from that position. I can't find a way to open it.

Somone please help me with this. I have spent 3 hours already trying to find a way through. HELP!!!!!!!!

To the right of the lever there's a sleet girder roped up, I think there are some explosive barrels nearby that by shooting, you cause the beam to swing into the gate.

broken lever??? oh I think you may be at the one where you have to blow some stuff up and it causes a chainreaction which hurls something held up by a crane pully through the dam gate.
look around the broken lever to the right if theres some explosive barrels blow em up if theres something being held up by a crane shoot at it I can't quite remember srry. post a screen shot.

Waterway Help Please

I'm stuck on the waterway at a T-Junction where to the left is a big metal damn/gate and to the right is 2 ships sort of colided together, cant get passed either, oh and a chopper circling above.

Cant find any of opening the gate, even turned around at load point and retraced my steps but nothing to see anywhere

Any ideas anybody?

Audioslim, think there is a thread about this in the Singleplayer (spoilers Forum) Several people have had this problem, as iirc you should start that level on the other side of the gates. Can't remember what the solution was, but have a look:
