mortiz said:Okay, what the hell did St. Patrick actually do to be justified being called a Saint? Did he do anything as remotely cool as St. George (Slay a Dragon!)?
kirovman said:St. George rules.
But apparently he's politically incorrect???

"How come St. George got beatified for killing the rarest creature ever with a massive sword, while I get absolutely ****ed by the RSPCA for slaying common frogs with a penknife? As usual, it's one law for knights in armour and another for the rest of us. "
I'm annoyed because my best friend is working on Thursday. He works in a bar...
I get the feeling he won't drink anything but Budweiser if he has the choice.kirovman said:Hehe, the Viz is great. See my sig.
I heard there's a Saint Patrick's Day party in the white house.
What's going to happen there? GWB is going to dress up as a leprechaun while simultaneously downing copious amounts of Guinness?
It'd be cool if that's what was happening.
oh poor poor mortiz, there was no britain back then ,slavery was common and if you knew his story you would realise he escaped and went back to england but was 'called' back to ireland to preach the good mans word but obviously there are very few records from back then, most of what we know of patrick comes from his diary and 1 kept by another monk,i had to study it in college as part of my history course and most of are lecturers told us that george, patrick etc stories are extremely wide open with very few facts, but hey isnt religion in general :rolling: ,anyway i doubt many people think about him on paddys tbh, just a chance for a bit of craicmortiz said:Okay, what the hell did St. Patrick actually do to be justified being called a Saint?
