Just to help some of you go get that new GFX card, here are a few screenshots of HL2 on my GF 6800GT. I get a very nice 60-80fps at all times with everything maxed.

What drivers are you using on the 5900?? I have an Ultra as well and was wondering what best drivers to use...

Reason mainly is that on the airboat scene I get no reflection in the water at all...It's like it's not there...I have set it to "reflect all" but still no avail..

The standard 128mb 6800 runs this fantasticly as well, i clocked mine up to 400/900 and im getting 100-150 frames in small rooms and 60-70 outdoors, 6800's are quality cards

thiscrazypinoy how do i check my fps and what drivers u using. Ive got 5900 ultra but its stutterin so i lowered settings and shadow detail still stuttering.

I just checked on Guru3D forums and they are saying that the 5900 or FX cards will have probs on rendering the water...!!

So here is a link to fix that and tweak HL2 for them...And a comparison between DX8.1 & 9.

Damn, what the hell settings are you using? I have a 6800 GT 256mb coupled with an A64 3000+, and I usually get between about 40-200, depending on the area. Outdoors usually drop to 40-60. I have some settings tuned down, like AA and AF, so I'd like to know how you have everything maxes, with a lesser CPU than me, and getting better FPS. :x

LOL! I got this 5200 128 it runs soso with everything on low, oh yeah turn everything on low and look at the overlord rifle textures, like all the other weapons are not bad looking but on low this thing looks worse than hl2 weapon textures.
