Theory supoorting Gman as Gordon

Many people have proposed that Gman is Gordon form the future. The main put off to this theory is his seemingly God-Like powers. But, what if the strange events that happen around Gman aren't actually generated by him? If Gman was Gordon from the future and traveled back in time, perhaps the device he used to travel back/stop time was the cause of the phenomena, and not the Gman himself. This would also explain this calm reaction to situations, as he knows Gordon's future and thus has nothing to fear. I orginally believed Gman to be some super empowered liaison between aliens and humans but in light of this realization I am starting to recosnsider.
