Spamming has never been viewed as acceptable here. I have done it in the past and must say i have probably pushed teh limits of the forum rules several times, but when new members come along thinking they have to make tons of posts to gain respect i feel aggrieved.

Spamming is neither big, nor clever. It does not help promote yourself in a positive light, more it puts you in a negative view-point of fellow community members.

We have had people spam, as Glenn said, borgasm once did but they did it with a quaint charm that allures themselves with forum.

Spam that is needless spam, the type that presents neither humour, quirky'ness and doesn't contribute to the topic is the worst kinda and should never be tolerated. The best way to prevent a decay in the community which often occurs via spam is to stop it at it's source. I have performed these duties at spore-game.net banning a members for several days for uneeded and pointless replies in the 'Newbies Section' at spore-game.net

In my early days i was a forumite who posted on rare occurances, once i had been around here for a while and was settled i decided to spread further afiield, and through my old avatar and slight quirky

ness i gained a level of respect amongst parts of the community.

I was once a minor-player in previous attempts to develop the community here, namely the DoDS Machinma and the BF2 Clan Matches. However due to other commitments or wanting more senior members to take charge my involvement was limited

When i requested my ban i did it for the main purpose of focusing myslef on real life matters such as exams and cncnation. I also had felt the forums were in a slow decline with the presence of certain members, some of you know who i talk of

Upon returning i have seen a renewed interest in promoting the community and for this i am very happy to be part of.

Certain people however do not fit the ethos i feel is hl2.net however it is up to the relevant Staff to act as they deem necessary
