They should let us play Half life source while we wait

Yeh, that would definitelly be a good mood as lots of people would play it first to get the story straight if it wasnt for the amazingness for HL2.

If they did this I would buy a better steam version because I wouldnt want HL:S otherwise.

Its good enough them being able to release CS:S for us early but HL:S would be great. (Well not as great as HL2 but its a start)

EDIT: How can it not be finished? They did it before starting CS:S.

Keep in mind that they didn't actually remade it, they just ported it directly to Source.

Its just something they are doing on the side for us lot to enjoy. If they did it properly they would probably sell it. Just be thankfull you are getting a game for free, and we all know that its a great game anyway...

HL1 Source is complete. It was sent along with HL2 RC and CS:Source to vivendi on the 15th.
I will be playing it before I play HL2, to refresh the story....as it is to be included in the collectors edition (about the only thing useful in it)

I dont think the are actually 'redoing' it like they have with CS:S. Just changing some bits like the water and adding rag-dolls.

They might up some polygons and textures in places, but I dont think they are 'redoing' it at all.

Is it just me who really doesnt care about HL1 Source? Maybe if Valve had the peope who worked on HL1 Source work on HL2, we woulda had it by now.

would be cool. Since they said they will be releasing CS Source why not let us play Hl source for those that don't want to play or dont care CS source. All we would be doing is replaying the first game with ported graphics.

Think about it most of us will pay to play CS source why not let us play hl source as well since we sill still pay for it?
