Third person?

Does anyone know where I can find code (partial of full) tutorials on a good third person view in source?
I can find one or two but none show how to have a character holding weapons in 3rd person or even how get a character moving properly

is this for multiplayer or single player

multiplayer wil be fine but single player causes some complications
