Well I bet someone else noticed this, but in the previous games, at least in opposing force, when you typed in thirdperson in the console, Shepard whould apear. Well so i thought maybe the same thing whould happen in half life 1.
Maybe it does, but since i onely had Half life source, i got pretty bumbed when i saw that it was onely the hands hovering in the air, intill, i put on my flashlight, and then holy hell There he was. Gordon Freman in the flesh. Looking like crap and no movment animations.

So i tried the same in Half life 2. Enabling third person and puting on my flash light and this is what i saw.

Mhm? Its because you aren't supposed to see him, theres no point making a model for him if its an FPS.

Yeah well... Its still something.
And in source, you realy see him.

There was a deathmatch model for him, made by Valve I believe, but it was cranky and bugged. Oh, and it looked liked crap.

Yeah well... That model doesnt look great now either does it? :P

In HL1 you could ee yourself if you looked through a camera that wa pointing at the screen. At least I remember doing that in the hammer editer and seeing myelf.
