For the record, these ads have been there for a couple of weeks apparently, which makes this even stupider. However they're in many other cities other than Boston and those communities haven't freaked out.
 
dont you need to get some sort of permit or license before you can put stuff up in public places ? if so this matter should have been handled long before they actually started placing these around the city. i guess this is just another way they manage to waste tax payers' money.

Two cool things:

First off, one of the "bombs" (:rolleyes:) was placed right near my dad's work. In fact, he went into a pizza shop for a slice, and had to leave early 'cause the bomb squad was entering to get to the second story!

And second off, my friend actually knows one of them, Berdovsky. In fact, her mom bailed him out of jail. According to her, he's "the man".
 
wow, we talked about this in american history today. Our teacher implied that it was an "electronic device with a countdown and beeping noises that very much resembled a time bomb." But now that I see a bloody moonite on the front I can't beleive this was taken seriously!

I just found out about this completely today. Yesterday I heard that some box had lights on it and wires. I also learned it was in public places. My first thought was "yeah that's not smart." Then my friends were talking about it today and said it had an Aqua Teen Hunger Force character on it. My first reaction was "are you serious? AHAHAHAHAH" My parents are calling me an idiot and saying I may die one day because I didn't know a terrorist attack might go off or something. Looks like the terrorists accomplished their mission, making fear in the American public. In other words OMG GET AAARNOLD IN HERE OR JAMES BOND TO DEFUSE THE LIGHTBRIGHT! :D There was no public fear or anything this is complete bs.
