Interesting; it was only a matter of time. I'm surprised he hasn't been sued yet for harassment.

As part of his efforts to halt sales of Bully, Thompson petitioned Miami Judge Ronald Friedman to view the game before it went on sale last week. However, when the judge approved the game for sale, Thompson became angry, accusing the judge of "smiling" as he approved the sale of a game that would inspire teenagers to commit acts of violence as extreme as murder.

Now, it appears Thompson's sharp words to Judge Friedman may land him in hot legal water. According to the blog GamePolitics.com, lawyers for Rockstar Games parent Take-Two Interactive are asking that Thompson be held in contempt of court for his comments to Judge Friedman.

How impressionable does this guy think kids are??

If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit!

Thompson is rabid and insane. He never knows when to quit.

please let this put an end to his evil reign!!!

What an asshole.

Jack really needs to be locked up in a happy house. Anyone THAT obsessed over getting rid of something really doesn't deserve to walk freely with other people.

Now that you have consigned innumerable children to skull fractures, eye injuries from slingshots, and beatings with baseball bats, without a hearing as to the danger, let me tell you a few things, with all respect for your office and with no respect for the arbitrary way in which you handled this matter. I can handle an adverse ruling by a judge. I’ve had plenty of those in my lifetime, and that’s fine. But the way you conducted yourself today helps explain why a great Dade County Judge, the late Rhea Pincus Grossman, could not abide you. She was not the only one.
How dare you, Judge, promise a hearing today and then prevent that hearing from occurring. How dare you, Judge, petulantly order the production of the game after it is released on Tuesday morning. I didn’t even ask for that. You did that out of spite, and you were smiling when you did that. You really enjoyed that one, didn’t you, Judge?
I couldn’t care less what you did to me. [you're not fooling anyone -ed] What I care is that you, through judicial arrogance, have hung countless kids out to dry in school that will now be meaner and more dangerous. Next time you promise a “hearing,” I’ll bring a parent with me whose kid is in the ground because of a kid who trained to kill him or her on a violent video game. Try mocking that person, I dare you.
Hey, I'm just posting it, don't expect me to explain it.

Win!

Let's hope he gets killed.

GO JACK THOMPSON GO JACK!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Is the exact opposite of what I actually believe.

of all the games to bring to court... bully... yeah right.
because slingshots are a hell of a lot more dangerous and have a heavier hit to our social mindset than say I dunno machine guns, hookers, dismemberment etc.

please.

the game dont even look violent at all

also the whole bully thing is a comon thing in the USA right? so why not erradicate the real thing?

also it's called Bully, a play on the name of the school "bullworth" it's not really about being a bully... its about being a kid and fitting in with/manipulating different cliques.

I think thompson merely sees the name "bully" and tries to capitalize on images of columbine

Oh noes. 5 year-olds will start killing their parents because they played a violent game D:
