I've been playing Oblivion alot, great game but there is just not much danger in it. There are no really dangerous spots in the game that you should stay away from. I have been playing as a Warrior and completed few quests, my character is on lvl 6 now but I am looking for some advice or tips of where I can find interesting quests, secrets or whatever.

An example is, where do I find the unicorn, where can I get some great weapons and shit ?

I was bored until I started on the main quest, and now I am hooked again

Also, joining the Dark Brotherhood is about the best decision I ever made, it's so damn fun to be an assassin

Well the only problem I really have with this game is the fact that the game scales to your level. Basic bandits have gear based on how high you are. Before they had just basic leather or just cloth stuff even. Now that I'm higher up they have elven and mithril armor with badass glass weapons and various enchanted weapons.

I'm not sure there's many places in the world where you can find gear that is a ton cooler than your current stuff.

One dangerous spot would probably be Blackwood. When I was lower I found lots of wood nymph like creatures, succubus-like spiders, and minotaurs that were too much for me. Now I can take them but not easily.

Great weapons come through quests as I've been able to find out. As for the unicorn, I don't know if anybody's found it yet.

This "Dark Brotherhood" sounds really promising, where do I join them ?

One thing I really hate with the game is that a Deadra can take just as much damage as a silly rat :(

Scaling is abit of a fart. I don't mind creatures changing level as I've found loads of really hard guys that kill me with a breath and I wouldn't go back to. Scaling for creatures makes it easier.

I dislike however, you can go anywhere almost at level 1 and defeat too much and weapons in stores and loot are all the same or worse than yours. The only awesome stuff I've seen is locked away, in Castles (hint) and the Fighters Guild (hint again).

To join them... SPOILER, highlight to read:

Kill a man and it will say "An unknown force is watching" then goto bed and someone visits you in your sleep.

EDIT: Sorry for double post.

good to see my help is being passed around

I got bored too at the begining, becasue I was jsut raiding dungeons, and they all looked the same (becasue they were in the same region) - then I started doing quests and it became a lot of fun.

wow cool, you've done some pretty exciting stuff, im having a blast just looting, havent even arsed going to Kvach or watever its called an entering the 1st gate..

i've tried to make character resemble Garrett from the Thief series(HOODS FTW), and am playing with a keen focus on stealth and silent kills with my bow, i've become very handy with my bow and arrow and dagger and am particurly agile and fast, my character can jump really high and far, the 'Thieves highway' of Thief fame is also very useful i find in Oblvion. Guards, Bandits cant touch you up on the rooftops, i love fleeing across the roofs of houses, AWESOME!! TAFFING FTW!!:D

You guys make this game sound so awesome, im just a warrior representing Achilles and Maximus :D

EDIT: I remember someone visited me while asleep, it was that Dark Brotherhood guy, but I cannot remember where I go to join em, doesnt say much in my questlog ;/

Yeah that pretty much sucks. I don't see why they can't just give shops some insanely good armour/weapons but price them really high, or make it you have to be a certain level to equip it.

Annoying.

if you 'join' the dark brotherhood, can you still be in another guild (fighters/mages/theives) ?

also, i think i will make another character, so what would be a 'good' race/build for an assassin type ?
