to the guy who had his thread closed, on the off chance youre still lurking....

the same thing happened to me, getting locked in the decontamination chamber, also at other stages of the game such as the lift down to eli's lab when Mossman wouldnt press the button to go down!

basically sometimes the level corrupts itself and you have to restart it from the beginning. i also noticed this tends to happen if you have been noclipping where you shouldnt have!

so to conclude just reload the map from the console using the 'map' command. hope this helps, worked for me anyway.

and bliink it was a bit unfair closing the guys thread. you didnt know for sure he was using a warez version, and you didnt even give him a chance to respond. by stating 'the official non online' game he could simply have meant the retail version played offline after authentication. you shouldve given him a chance to explain himself properly before closing the thread. lets try and at least be reasonable i ndealing with people asking for help before assuming they are using warez copies of HL2.

But yes, just because AI Disabled happens, doesn't mean you have warez version!!! I had it happen to me, I had to reinstall to make it go away. I loaded up a custom map, and all of a sudden all of HL2 was messed up... I told him to reinstall the game, but save your SaveGame data, and you should be fine

as long as im abiding by the forum rules eatbugs i can complain as much as i like and i made the thread to point out to the mod concerned that he or she acted slightly over-zealously, so to perhaps preclude the same kind of thing from happening again when someone asks for help.

If you have a complaint about a staff member, PM Munro or Zerimski, the administrators. And no, Bliink does not close as she pleases, keep in mind she is serving the site and has to deal with things that are in violation of any rules, she doesn't break any kind of rules herself by doing this (believe me, the rules for moderators are tough).
