Tricks in HL1

Hi, I'm new on halflife2.net forums so don't flame me if I did something wrong, Okay?

So, I want to know how to do all the tricks in HL1 like:
Open a closed door with a NPC

Please post hints or links for websites that has this links, Okay?
I'll be very happy if you'll do it to me.

Unfortunately I believe those tricks have all be fixed by VALVe in patches. You can get a non-steam version of Half-life 1 if you check around the bargain bins of second-hand shops I expect. They usually begin at a previous patch where things like this haven't been fixed.

On the subject of HL1, I have a question.

I just made it to Xen, and I cannot progress because I cannot super jump or whatever. I picked up the jump booster thing, and I searched how to use it, somewhere it said to double tap the jump button. This is not working for me.

Suggestions?

Just do the Crouch-Jump (Ctrl + Spacebar)

To open a closed door with an NPC, just 'use' the NPC, then keep pushing against them so they walk into the door, and it should open. It doesn't work with every door.
