trigger_changelevel screwing up my AI

alright, I want to transition from one map to a map that has an NPC entity on it, but when I go to the new map, I get a message saying that the ai is disabled and that leaves my NPC character standing like a statue. It doesn't follow me or perform any of the actions when I activate the triggers. What's going on?

Maybe you can have an autotrigger in the new map triggering a cl_clientcommand to give the output "ai_disable 0" ...

Maybe?
