Trilogy?

I don't want to sound stupid, but is there gonna be a HL trilogy? I've read something about it on several forums...

I sure hope Valve keeps making games around the HL story/universe. Like Opposing force. They should make something like that for HL2 too.

By the way, who else wants a HL game where you are a head crab. That would stomp so much ass.

as long as valve don't run out of ideas, they can keep the hl games coming

if there's really going to be only one more hl game, it will be extremely rushed and brief. hl's story would suffer a great deal.

They should round it up at three, delivering an action and story packed finale in which the player finally gets to see what the bloody hell has been going on all the time.

That way it stays nice. If 3 just drags on it will quite plainly suck.

as long as valve dont run out of ideas theres no unwritten law of the universe or physics which states the creative stories must only consist of 3 or less parts.....think about the harry potter novels or the discworld novels by terry pratchett

trilogies are evil creations of hollywood (and before anyone mentions lotr trying to be a smart ass, that wasnt a trilogy, in fact it was just published in 3 parts).

hl is a confirmed trillogy. no hl4. wish i could cite this, but I'm certain its true.

Nope its not true, there is no confirmed trilogy. In the PC ZONE review they asked doug lombardi about the trilogy thing and he said he didnt know where that came from. And that they dont know how many they are goign to make.

Thers plenty of scans on the net if you dotn believe me. So no, we can hope for more

I think that HL2 left too much for HL3 (and all the expansions for that matter) alone to answer. It seems like they're pacing out the game series to have one or two "WTF" episodes, and begin to explain it all after that.

I have to agree with that last sentiment. I would be awesome to be able to infest people, then jump from one host to another if you're taking fire or the host dies. Of course there would be people you couldn't attach onto, like people in masks (combine) or HEV suits (Gordon), which might make the later levels less fun as by that time most people would have suits on. Maybe your headcrab character could evolve so that its "beaks" become sharper and longer so that it can rip through the suits of later enemies. Someone should definately make a mod like this.

This is the Gordon Trilogy. Maybe there will be an Alyx trilogy or Barney trilogy, or maybe even a G-Man trilogy.

Exactly. You also should be able to team up with other aliens and jump on alien's heads.
