On a bicycle or a car? On my car I prefer them to have tread...you know so I don't get arrested or die every time it rains.

Oh come on, who doesn't like breaking in brand new tires? So fresh, so brand new... so unsuspecting of what's to come.

I like em new and unused.

Although, they can tend to squeel if you brake too soon or take off too quick. That generally wears them down quicker. But, after you break them in, the ride is so much more enjoyable.

Newer tires for me, thanks. If anyone here prefers bald or otherwise used tires over new, fresh ones, we can trade when mine get worn out (I've only 65 miles on my current set).

when tires are brand new, they are a bit slick. this is due to the manufacturing process as there is an oily residue that wears off after so many miles.
