UI sounds?

Hey all,

I'm brand new here and am great to be a part of the community. I come here requesting help on how to find the sounds heard in the UI for hl2 becuase I would like to use them for my school flash project in which I wish to make a mini-site for the orange box coming out and I would like to have the noises for my navigation. I assume this is legal becuase it is simply for a school project...so I would really appreciate the help on the sounds and any ideas for how I could make the project compelling. Thanks!

First, you need a program called gcfscape, download here. Once thats installed then go to program files/valve/steam/steamapps and open 'source sounds.gcf' from there you can navigate through the folders and extract the sound files from HL2. In this case you can find UI sounds in root/hl2/sound/UI
