In what manner does one create an ultra-black swatch in Photoshop? My printer and screen is showing discrepancies between the 'black' font I'm using and the background image I'm typing over, which I'm assuming is in ultra black.

I'm pretty sure there's a method for creating ultra-black in Photoshop using either RGB or CMYK colour modes... Any ideas?

If you're using Vista, I've noticed it; and it's not Photoshops problem.
But in XP, it doesn't have the blue and purple outline.

Any to answer the question: NOLOL?!

I'm pretty certain black is black. #000000 is #000000.

I have no idea what you're talking about, really.

But, using my brain to discover new and unexplored ideas, I had the prudence to Google it.

Always talk to your printer or prepress house about color issues. But, yes, that's one way to get black. If you're printing this yourself, try out a few variations to see what comes out of your printer looking the best. Try CMYK 100,100,100,100 and 65,50,50,95 as well.

A nice black is c60 m50 y40 k100.

I'm on XP, and my monitor displays true black perfectly.

It's #000000 as pesh said for hex.

0, 0, 0 for RGB

He's talking about printer colors, which can, I guess, differ in shades of black.

Oh...

Well I'm going to bed. I have zero reading comprehension :D

Cheers guys. I decided the best way to do it would be change the colour of the background. I should probably do some reading on colour gamuts to understand all this stuff.
