Unicorn Problems

Whenever I dismount my prize unicorn, Horny, it runs off and I have to spend ages scouring the countryside trying to find it or go back to the Grove where I found it.

And if it doesn't dissapear, it attacks me with its super powerful hooves and chases me all the way across the map. Even if I go into buildings it is standing there waiting like the evil bugger it is, just outside the door.

And if I try and leave it at the Grove where I found it and go about other quests, whenever I enter a city it gets teleported to the stables outside.

Does anyone know whether this is a bug or whether the unicorn really is such a ridiculously stupid double edged sword?

Remember, there's only one in the whole game so keep it safe .

I considered spending some time hunting for the unicorn today, but from this thread and what I've read at gamefaqs, I would rather just get a sleek black horse

They can die, but then they magically come back to life.

To kill one, just set some high level NPCs onto it. Because, whilst your attacks don't hurt it at all, their attacks do minor damage.
