Hi group. I have just bought HL2 today and the game is fantastic. One minor problem I have is that when I start the game, I get a white screen with black pattern and the message "can't find video:vids/cvids decompressor" Yet I can hear the sound playing in the background.
It is not a major problem, just curious as to what it is or is it missing file from the installation, which is the DVD-Rom version by the way.
PC is: 2400+, 1 gig of ram, FX5900xt 128 mb, 160 gb HD, Lite-on DVD-Rom, 106 DVD Writer, SB 5.1 Live.
