In all fairness, I had always wondered what'd happen when HL2 finally joined HL1 as a vintage game from unfathomable aeons ago. I say, bring on halflife3.net. A massive all-encompassing Valve-news site sounds like a great idea and all, but the Half-Life franchise has always had enough hype, clout and fans to warrant its own site and message board. The forums here have indeed served as a general-purpose Valve forum for many years now, and that's mostly thanks to a lack of fresh Half-Life in recent times. For about four years since HL2 came out though, halflife2.net really was a site about Half-Life 2. Just wait till Half-Life 3 is announced. It'll be like the run-up to HL2 all over again.
