I can climb ladders backwards and hold stuff (paint brush and can). You just have to use your elbows and shoulders to kind of wriggle up the ladder. You should be able to slowly(walking) make it up the ladder doing everything like normal but if you try to run up while reloading and turning you should fall off.

i think that stuff will work out like this:

hands - pick up less heavy objects to use as sheild or for short range hits
manipulator - pick up heavier objects to use as projectiles

Yeah except, in the demo, it was to shoot out the support legs of a trailer and let it fall down a little bank. You could then hop on down and go for a little trek until you found the t-rex running towards you.

Aaah how I loved playing that demo and full game!

i think this hl will be stealthy feel to it.
i mean the ai will only shoot at you and chase u if they se u or hear u. i read somewhere that they will chase you everywhere. i mean if u climb boxes..they will..they can scale walls loads. call of bk up search for u if lost you.

Will it be Trespasser style (heaven help us), or will it be something like pulling crates in HL, only instead of just being able to pull, you can pick up?

pulling those crates was pretty 1337, so maybe it could work like that
