im definitly no fanboy but the game runs very fine.
u just have to know ur pc and everything is fine.

only thing pissing me off is the dvd-check
i mean ... the steam versions dont have this ... y do the store versions have this? i feel very tricked

Yep they suck ass what they mean...

As our game is total wank we will not open to say anythign at this time...
We know 8/10 people can not play this game but at the moment we dont care....
We know steam is the shittist thing out there and 1 of the biggest invasions of privacy rules ever put into a game but we dont care..

ps i also got reatial version and i think the onyl reasson they dont work is cus they been hacked by steam that they wot becausse i didn't buy it from them.

Ummm. Im a "fanboy" (if the fact that I have been waiting for this game for 6 years, and I think it is better than anthing else ever made makes me one), but I did NOT have a troublefree launch. My original steam download turned out to be garbage (yay preload --not), and I spent 17 hours of the day I took off of work (from 12 midnight until 6:30pm) getting it fixed. HOWEVER.... The problem was with steam, not HL2, and now that I have gotten it reinstalled correctly, it runs great!!! I have been practically crying over how beautiful the game is, but it is really the physics that make it great.

And the reason that the steam forums is down is that a ton of flame kiddies are always on it, and when they have a problem, they all whine at once, instead of trying to help fix it.

MajorPayne: Looking in ur sig. You have kick ass PC with a crap video card. Whats the point of having all the speed and running a weaker video card. Just doesn't seem to match the system
