What was in the premier pack when Half-Life 2 was released?

Does anyone still have it?

I ask, because I bought my Valve Premier Pack a long while back. It consisted of Half-Life and some mods( 3 being TFC, CS, and DoD). I reinstall steam after a long hiatus to find CS was not in my list anymore.

I do the whole support ticket bit and just received word that CS is not in the package(anymore?).

I know there are some prominent figures that visit HL2.net, and I was hoping for some clarification and feedback?

I am left wondering if Valve does reserve the right to take games off of packages as they see fit, and would it be fair to take away a game that was originally priced and included in the package?

hmm thats odd, even though its changed you should still have them in your possession since you bought it when it was included in the pack.

Valve do reserve the right to alter packages currently in the Steam shop, so some things might get chopped and changed. This can be because of sales or certain packages offering discounts on games bought in bulk.

With regard to 'taking away' a game which you've bought that is something they cannot do. Despite package changes, they're not allowed to take back something you've bought. It would be false advertising and a list of other felonies! To be honest, I don't recall CS ever being in that package.

Can I ask, do you distinctly recall playing Counter Strike on that account? Many people who had CS 'back in the day' had it from installing their original HL1 CD or Half-life Generation pack. Is it possible you created a new account for your Valve Premier Pack? I know I have my original games on a different account somewhere which I never use...

The Valve Premier Pack was purchased on an entirely new account and was separate from my old original purchase of HL. I had played CS very briefly from the VPP; however, I didn't play it enough so I had deleted the .gcf file containing it's data. I remember doing this distinctly, but that is not related to my current situation. I have only reinstalled Steam and logged back on to my VPP account after some time.

I have searched around the net, and I can find sources where Counter-Strike was included in the Valve Premier Pack around the time I purchased it.

edit: additionally, I bought the VPP to replace my original retail copy of HL. I had already installed copies of TFC, DoD, and CS, so I saw this purchase as a natural progression. My thought process for that was that of, "I will own digital rights to download and play these games for as long as Valve is in charge". I saw it as an investment of sorts.
