Yeah, the vocoder. You use a microphone to make a voice sound like a robot or whatever else.

I got one called OrangeVocoder. it's free (they want you to buy it if you like it) and it is some kind of plug-in

well I can't figure out WTF.

I've got the program
I've got a microphone

what do i DOOO.

Does anyone have a vocoder set up on their PC so they can tell me how to install it? I mean, I installed it on my PC, but there is no executable. I guess you have to launch it from your music creation program, but I can't figure out how.

Robot voice denied. :borg:

nevermind, I figured it out. :D Thank you if you came here and read my cries of mercy. God damned machines. making things complicated because computers are racist

A plugin? Is it a VST? Like a .dll file? You need a VST host to run it. Like Fruity Loops, or Ableton I think, there are freeware ones too. Fruity Loops actually has a vocoder built in.

sorry, I Just got it working and was editing my post. thanks for helping

Now I will talk like a sexy robot man.

Edit: FL? does it really? god dman it.

the plug in was just showing up as 'EFFECT' where I was expecting ... it is supposed to show up as 'Orange', according to the manual.

holy shit this thing is awesome. It's supposedly the best software vocoder out there.
